Rather is a calm puzzle app people open instead of scrolling. Built under Stojanov Ventures, it has daily logic, number and word puzzles, and its name is the thought behind it: I'd rather do this.
The Problem
Picking up the phone is often a reflex, and a feed is usually the nearest thing to open. The reflex is hard to drop, so the better question is what it lands on.
The Solution
Rather puts a few daily puzzles where the feed used to be. There are ten games, among them Number grid, Stars, Nonogram, Pipes, Pairs and Word guess, and there are no ads. It runs on iOS, Android and the web.
How It Was Built
I built Rather on my own with Claude Code, in about four days, from a Wednesday evening to the Sunday.
